| Posted about 1 month ago Aren't all injuries personal? Do you mean personnel, as in fellow FF's? Jeff Draper

| Posted about 1 month ago Good question, but personal injury makes more sense. Personnel injury would infer that it was a member of the responding dept or organization involved in the accident. personal- of, pertaining to, or coming as from a particular person; individual; private.
personnel- a body of persons employed in an organization or place of work.
infer- to derive by reasoning; conclude or judge from premises or evidence.

| Posted about 1 month ago All I know is that when "PI" is used by our dispatch , in a call , then an ambulance would be sent and medical attention possibly rendered. This also helps us know how bad the wreck may be. A head on or roll over as opposed to a fender bender. Help someone is some way everyday. Standing at the ready, Tail wagging; ready to run !! |

| Posted about 1 month ago Copy! Yea when we get an MVA call in western Colorado, dispatch usually states Injury accident, Non Injury Accident, or unknown if injury accident. "Unknown" because the general public love's their cell phones but don't like to stop and see if their are any injuries. |

| Posted about 1 month ago PI...refers to Personal Injury Accident...... PI's get police AND medical responses... opposed to a : PD or PDA....PROPERTY damage accident......no injury...police only response... |
