Posted 5 months ago Wildland Firefighter Smokejumper belt These are the sometimes illusive and hard to find Smokejumper belt, worn by smokejumper, hotshots, helitack and engine crews. These are almost a must for any firefighter if you are digging line or working an urban interface assignment, or anyone working or playing hard in the outdoors. Very popular with hunters and hikers, a key benefit to this style webbing belt is it doesn't loose it strength when wet. As a professional firefighter I have worn my belt on numerous fires, and never worried about my pants drooping as they get wet. The belt works well in both Forest Service Style pants or urban interface pants. The belt is 50" long and 1 3/4" , so one size fits most, just cut off what you don't need. The webbing itself is rated to 6000lbs and the buckle is rated to 2500lbs, so you can rest assured it can hold your pants up. The type of webbing is constructed to be flexible length wise and stiff width wise. These are professionally sewn in the USA.
