About Me:
I've been firefighting since 1996. I started as a Wildland seasonal and now am a ranked Engineer on a four-man company. I am an AZ state certified Firefighter I and II, AZ state certified EMT, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, Fire and Life Safety Educator, Incident Safety Officer and an Advanced Vehicle Rescue Technician. I used to watch Johnnie and Roy on Squad 51 when I was a kid and say' That's the job I wanna do!' Now I'm doing it...and I'm thankful. Working in AZ during the summer months can be grueling...imagine being in full turnouts when its 115 or 120 out in the middle of the afternoon on the interstate or working house fire. Lots of water, acclimation and staying in shape are the standing orders of the day. For those of you who brave the sleet and ice during the winter months...and you know who you are...please know we here in the land of the desert sun SALUTE YOU!!! Everybody be safe!!!

    Hey, good to hear things are going good for you and your son out that way. Are ya'll in grass fire season yet? We started getting calls for more and more the last few days. The fourth of July season seems to be our busiest. Fireworks are legal out my way so keeps us busy. take it easy and watch the heat this year.
